Our employee spotlight for the month of August is Joe Boylan. Joe has been with Southern Berks Regional EMS since 2011 when he started as a volunteer EMT. He then moved into a paid position in 2012 and obtained his Advanced EMT in 2017. Joe is also a Field Training Officer and enjoys acclimating new hires to SBREMS. Joe and his wife just purchased their first home and are looking forward to moving in very soon. When Joe is not working one of his many jobs he enjoys working around the house, a workload that will only increase a new homeowner. Joe was drawn to EMS after having an accident in his teenage years where he received exceptional care from the EMS providers and hospital staff. After this accident, Joe wanted to be able to give back to the community and pursued his EMT certification. For those looking to start a career in EMS, Joe’s advice is to “Treat others how you would want to be treated.” Joe is an exceptional employee who continually goes above and beyond in every facet of his job. We are honored to give Joe the spotlight for the month of August!
Look out for our employee spotlight next month!
